NF1 Strain Information

NF1 is arguably one of the most cryptic names in the massive wave pool of cannabis genetics. Its three-character, alpha-numeric moniker gives no clear indication of its genetic makeup. But once you become privy to the parents of indica-leaning NF1, the infuriation of trying to decode its lineage is quickly lifted. The unassuming NF1 tag makes it easy to miss when scanning menus - but as the offspring of multi-award winners Northern Lights and ChemDawg, its name is almost arbitrary.

There are some who’ve documented NF1 as sativa dominant - I can assure you this is not the case. It’s a magnificent twilight indica, meaning it doesn’t send you directly to bed. The stress-crushing indica traits inherited from its Northern Lights parent aren’t without the initial uplift and heady euphoric effects contributed by its beloved ChemDawg genetics. Like the dancing lightshow of aurora borealis, NF1 will open up your senses and guide you through vivid dreamscapes that seamlessly transition into a quiet calm.

ChemDawg’s genetics lend their psychedelic effects to NF1, adding a thought-provoking, ponderous dimension to the heavy-footed indica dominance of Northern Lights.

Patients have hailed NF1 for reducing chronic stress, depression, anxiety, pain, appetite loss, nausea, and PTSD.

NF1’s buds have a shape similar to OG Kush - roundish and symmetrical. Their appearance could be likened to that of the natural wonder, aurora borealis. Light greens and violets shift through endless hues and intensities. Fleeting glimpses of ruby red are visible with the right set of eyes. It’s frosty trichomes sparkle like a clear starry sky.

Relatively speaking, Northern Lights has a tame terpene profile as opposed to other varieties, making it hard to identify with confidence. It’s light and earthy, with a heavy pine overtone. These nuanced fragrances are completely washed out in ChemDawg’s gas - and I’m not referring to the atmospheric kind.

Next time you’re thumbing through a retail menu, slow down a bit - you don’t want these three characters to escape your eyes.
